Tourism - target is 20 million guest nights for 2008

The tourism target for Hungary in 2008 is 20 million guest nights spent in commercial accommodations, Miklos Kovacs, a senior local government ministry official said in Budapest on Tuesday.

[MTI] Tourists spend 4.4 million paying guest nights in Hungary in the first quarter of the year, said Kovacs, adding that 20 percent of all tourists generally visit during the first quarter. The overall number of guests was up by 3.3 percent, but the number of guest nights was down slightly compared to 2007, he added.
