Tourism forex revenues up by 5 pc in Q3 2007

Foreign exchange revenues from tourism rose by 5 percent in the third quarter last year compared to the same period of 2006, Hungarian tourism company Magyar Turizmus Zrt said on Wednesday.

[MTI, MT Zrt.] Foreign visitors spent a total of 1.2 billion euros in Hungary in July-September last year.

Tourism revenues in January-September last year totalled 2.652 billion euros, a 4.1 percent increase compared to the first nine months of 2006.
