Hotel occupancy rate 39.4pc in January

The average occupancy rate of Hungary's 3-5 star hotels was 39.4 percent in January 2008, down from 45.2 percent in December 2007, and unchanged from January 2007, the Central Statistical Office (KSH) said on Monday.

[MTI] In the meantime, the room rate was up by 8.7 percent.
In 2007 overall, hotel occupancy was 58.2 percent of capacity, down by 0.7 percent compared to the previous year. Revenues, however, were up by 2 percent.
