An ill-fated investment project at Lake Balaton originally built as a blue-and-white fake Greek village has turned orange and yellow in the hands of new owners, who expect affluent young partygoers to bring life to the area, national daily Nepszabadsag said on Friday.

[MTI] In place of the weird ghost village once known as Annagora Park, a seven-hectare party zone named Sundance will include three discos, cafes and restaurants among air-conditioned luxury bungalows.

Developed with investment of hundreds of million forints, the new owners expect 150,000 visitors next year and 200,000 in the following year.

With a new aquapark opened in 2005 next door and a three-star hotel to be built on an adjacent site, Sundance Park is slated to open in mid-July. Access to the park will be free of charge and there will be daily sport events and live concerts.
